I was buzzed by bright blue dragonflies and serenaded by throaty bullfrogs all along the way.
From there I could see the lower path in the marsh area itself so I popped down the stairs and strolled to the end of that boardwalk overlooking the river. After a brief walk on a wooded path, you come out on a boardwalk built into the tree canopy above the marsh surrounding the Galien River. I decided I needed to check it out and I'm so glad I did.
When I returned to my car preparing to continue my road trip I noticed that a lot of people were pulling in and heading into the woods. Anyway - I turned into the Galien River County Park and found what I needed. So, I was driving up from Chicago and avoiding the interstate like I usually do and after drinking coffee all the way up, I was in search of.well, you can guess.
